Key to managing a team of child care environment assessors is the ability to monitor and evaluate their performance. The ERS Data System provides several tools to facilitate interaction between assessors and their supervisor(s).


Inter-rater Reliability Tracking
The toolkit automatically tracks and monitors all inter-rater reliability checks, and provides an item-by-item summary report of assessor variances.

Monitoring of Assessments and Reports
After an assessor has completed an assessment and uploaded it to the Observation Warehouse, the supervisor can download it and review it. Using special Administrator tools, the supervisor can edit it, providing the assessor with feedback and categorizing specific shortcomings in the assessment and report writing. These shortcomings are tracked by the system and can be used to produce a detailed analysis of the assessment team's strengths and weaknesses. In conjunction with the Inter-rater Reliability Tracking Report described above, specifically targeted refresher training curriculum for assessors may be derived.
